UCC Joins 'JCLP', a Corporate Group Aiming for a Decarbonized Society

(Headquarters: Kobe; President: Masao Ueshima) announces that it has joined the 'Japan Climate Leaders’ Partnership (JCLP)', a corporate group aiming to realize a sustainable, decarbonized society, as an associate member. The UCC Group upholds the purpose of 'Unleashing the power of coffee for a better world,' pursuing new possibilities for coffee and challenging itself to create unprecedented value in coffee. In addition, the company has established the UCC Sustainability Policy and is promoting initiatives toward 'achieving carbon neutrality by 2040.' JCLP is a unique Japanese corporate group established in 2009, based on the recognition that the industrial sector should have a healthy sense of crisis and start active actions to realize a decarbonized society. The goal of 'realizing a decarbonized society' upheld by JCLP resonates deeply with the purpose and sustainability philosophy of our group.
