Narita Airport Hosts 'Manga Creation Experience' for International Visitors! Turning Pre-Departure Waiting Time into the 'Best Japan Experience'

UNIQUE TRAVEL JAPAN, which offers unique travel experiences for international visitors, held a "Manga Drawing Experience & Live Drawing" event in collaboration with Narita International Airport Corporation at Narita Airport Terminal 1 from November 26 to 28, 2025.

The purpose of this event was to provide international visitors with a "special experience unique to Japan" just before their departure, offering an unforgettable experience at the airport as the culmination of their trip to Japan. As a result, many travelers participated daily, and the event was a great success.

Customer Voices At the event, participants experienced inking and applying screen tones, unique to analog manga, under the guidance of professional manga artists.

"I was so focused and enjoyed it! I'm glad I made the best memories before returning home." (Traveler from Europe/America) I had read Japanese manga (MANGA), but this was my first time drawing with tools myself. "Applying and scraping off these stickers (tones) was a dream of mine!" they said, their eyes sparkling like a child as they immersed themselves.

"I never imagined manga creation would be this difficult." (Traveler from France) While struggling, saying "I never knew drawing lines was so hard," they cheered upon seeing their own completed work, exclaiming, "This is the best souvenir for myself."
