Kushikatsu Tanaka, operated by Unisia Holdings, has announced the return of its 'Mugen Garlic Hormone Kushikatsu' starting July 1, 2026 (Wednesday), following its success as a major hit, including being featured in Nikkei MJ's '2025 Hit Product Rankings.'

Priced at 50 yen per stick (55 yen including tax), the 'Mugen Garlic Hormone Kushikatsu' became a massive success, selling a cumulative total of 14 million sticks since its launch in April 2025, thanks to its addictive flavor that pairs perfectly with alcohol. Following its discontinuation, the company received numerous requests for its return via social media, in-store feedback, and from employees, leading to this summer revival.

The 'Mugen Kushikatsu' series is projected to surpass a total of 20 million sticks sold. The company's strategy is to avoid customer fatigue by rotating the menu items, similar to seasonal offerings, to provide a sense of 'special value that is available only now.'
