The new song 'Nammonee' by the rock band Wasure-ranne-yo has been selected as the opening theme for the TV anime 'Yanineko,' which is set to premiere on July 2, 2026. The anime is based on the popular manga by Nyan Nyan Factory, serialized in Kodansha's 'Young Magazine.'

A main PV featuring the first reveal of the song's audio was released today, showcasing the 'smoky' daily lives of the characters. Takahiro Shibata, the band's vocalist and a huge fan of the original manga, wrote the song specifically for this adaptation to reflect its unique worldview.

The digital single will be released at midnight on July 2, 2026, the same day as the anime's first broadcast. This tie-up is part of the band's 'promise' to their fans as they head toward their first solo performance at the Nippon Budokan in 2028. To build momentum, the band will embark on a one-man tour titled 'We Love Iu' starting August 8, 2026, in Nagoya.
