[VOUTRAIL FA] Starts with a New School Name -- Osaka Bunka Fashion College Changes Name to "VOUTRAIL Fashion Academy"

VOUTRAIL Fashion Academy (hereinafter VOUTRAIL, School Corporation Osaka Bunka Fashion College, Chairman: Akihito Toyoda, Location: Mikunihonmachi, Yodogawa-ku, Osaka City), which trains designers and fashion professionals, started under its new name on April 1, 2026, changing its name from Osaka Bunka Fashion College. To mark this milestone, we have newly established and publicly announced our M.V.V. (Mission, Vision, Value) to all our stakeholders.

Creating a world and a place where everyone would unequivocally say so is our milestone and initial destination. It's not about the "logic of scale." It's not about resting on "history and tradition." It's about being a "small yet overwhelmingly strong, unique group." This expresses our "ambition" to constantly pursue this state.

Launch Ceremony Held

To commemorate the name change, a launch ceremony was held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at the in-school cafe & gallery, bringing together guests and faculty members.

During the ceremony, Chairman Toyoda delivered a statement of determination, followed by congratulatory speeches from Mr. Hirokazu Itoi, Executive Director of the Kansai Fashion Union Cooperative, and Mr. Eitaro Iwamitsu, Chairman of the alumni organization OIFer LINK. This was followed by an unveiling ceremony of a sign engraved with the new school name. Amidst the presence of media representatives including Senken Shimbun and Fiber News, VOUTRAIL's "independence" and new journey were declared to both internal and external audiences.

Amidst rapid population decline and a competitive environment, school corporations are also beginning a battle for survival.

As a unique fashion school with its own identity and original educational methods, we aim to nurture creators who can serve as their own "compass" and send them out into the world. Together, to create a new "TRAIL" that continues from VOUTRAIL.

The challenge to achieve the world our school envisions has begun. All faculty and staff are committed to fostering "strong individuals" with all their might.

VOUTRAIL Fashion Academy

Changed its name from Osaka Bunka Fashion College in April 2026. This year, it celebrates its 80th anniversary as one of the largest fashion vocational schools in Western Japan. With the philosophy of bringing "joy," "confidence," and an "upward trend" to society through the power of creation, it promotes the development of talent capable of thriving in international society. In recent years, in addition to strengthening cooperation with overseas fashion schools, it has accelerated investment in the digital domain, focusing on fostering creativity that integrates "international sensibilities" and "digital skills."

In 2025, it received the "Grand Prize" at the 2nd Fashion School Award hosted by Senken Shimbun, earning the No. 1 evaluation nationwide. With the vision of being "an unparalleled fashion school in Asia, carving its name into the world," it continues to expand its reputation and presence both domestically and internationally.
