Wao High School Releases Entrance Interview Questions for 2027 Admissions

Wao High School, a correspondence high school operated by Wao Gakuen Educational Foundation (Location: Okayama City, Okayama Prefecture, Principal: Tsuyoshi Hirata), which offers philosophy, science, and economics in its liberal arts inquiry curriculum, released its entrance interview questions for new students in the 2027 academic year in July.

Wao High School conducts admissions that emphasize "self-expression," where students state their own thoughts in their own words, rather than relying on school records or academic tests. In the entrance interview, students will choose one question from a selection themed around philosophy, science, and economics, and engage in a "dialogue" with the interviewer. Unlike academic tests, there is no "correct answer," so the focus is on how students express their own thoughts.

We encourage all third-year junior high school students who read these questions and think, "This is interesting!" or "I want to think about this!" to try Wao High School's entrance interview. Applications for new admissions to Wao High School for the 2027 academic year will begin in September (starting August 21st).
