Fauchon Hotel Kyoto (Location: Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto; General Manager: Kiyoshi Gomamoto), a gourmet hotel by the Parisian culinary brand Fauchon, will begin offering 'Melon Summer Afternoon Tea' at its tea salon, 'Salon de Thé Fauchon,' starting Wednesday, August 12th. At the restaurant 'Grand Café Fauchon,' a 'Champagne Free-Flow' plan will be launched, and on Thursday, July 30th, a one-day summer event featuring a marriage of beer and French cuisine will be held. For a cool and elegant time to forget the heat, the hotel offers refreshing summer gourmet experiences. The main fruit this time is melon, with its beautiful lush green color and juicy sweetness. Savory items include a mint-infused salty melon soup and the classic prosciutto melon, allowing guests to enjoy a refreshing meal even in summer. A highlight recommended by the pastry chef is the melon soda, reminiscent of the Showa retro era, where soda made from the hotel's high-quality 'Sennen-sui' well water is poured in at the table. The scones this time also appear in a cute shape resembling melon bread. Starting Friday, July 17th, a plan will be available at 'Grand Café Fauchon' where guests can enjoy Fauchon champagne to their heart's content alongside a course meal. On Thursday, July 30th, a one-day summer event will be held where guests can enjoy a French buffet while sipping beer.
