Hospitality Details for 'WEST EXPRESS Ginga' 2026 Kinan Course

JR West has announced details regarding the hospitality services for the 'WEST EXPRESS Ginga' Kinan Course, which will operate from July to September 2026.

(1) Overnight Express Train

Wakayama Station: 'Ginga' Special Wakayama Meat Soba A hidden local soul food of Wakayama. Served as an alternative Wakayama ramen featuring a sharp soy sauce soup topped with pork belly.

Wakayama Station: 'Ginga' Special Wakayama Ramen Premium Set A set beloved by locals, including the special Wakayama ramen accompanied by mackerel sushi and a boiled egg.

Kushimoto Station: Viewing the Hashigui-iwa Rocks The 'Magutoru-go' access bus will run temporarily from Kushimoto Station to Hashigui-iwa.

Kushimoto Station: Tuna Katsu Burger Set (Includes Ginga Original Mandarin Juice) Includes the famous tuna katsu burger from Shionomisaki Tourist Tower, served with salad, fries, and the original straight mandarin juice 'Kiwami'.

(2) Daytime Express Train

Kushimoto Station: Sale of local specialties such as Usukawa manju and rocket-themed goods. Susami Station: Sale of Ginga original blend coffee. Kainan Station: Sale of three types of items including sushi featuring conger eel (hamo), a specialty of Kainan City.

(2) Operation Period: July 3 (Fri) to September 30 (Wed) (based on departure date from the originating station)

Ticket Sales Method

(1) JR West Online Reservation Service 'e5489', Midori-no-Madoguchi (Ticket Office), and Ticket Machines: - Sales start at 10:00 AM, one month before each departure date. - For e5489, a 'Pre-booking Service' is available from 5:30 AM, one week before ticket sales begin. (Limited to WESTER members booking First Seats, Couchettes, or Reclining Seats.)

(2) Sales via 'tabiwa Travel': Plans including accommodation in the Kinan area, which feature selected sea-side seats, will be sold in advance via 'tabiwa Travel' within tabiwa by WESTER. * Sales scheduled to start at 1:00 PM on May 21, 2026 (Thu).
