World In Worker, a group company of Cookbiz Co., Ltd. specializing in the introduction and support of Specified Skilled foreign workers, is launching free online preparation courses for the 'Specified Skilled Worker (ii) Evaluation Exam in the Food Service Industry,' which will be held sequentially starting June 23, 2026. Following the temporary suspension of new intake for Specified Skilled Worker (i) in the food service sector since April 13, there is growing interest among companies in 'upgrading' existing (i) talent to (ii) status to secure long-term employment. Furthermore, the exam has shifted from a paper-based format to a 'CBT (Computer Based Testing)' format this fiscal year, making preparation for the new format an urgent priority. Through these courses, the company aims to support the development and retention of talent in the food service industry. The 120-minute sessions will cover key points and problem-solving techniques based on the official OTAFF textbook. The sessions are scheduled for June 10 and 24, from 10:30 to 12:30 via Zoom. Shinichiro Tanaka, Senior Manager at World In Worker, stated that the shift to an on-demand testing system will accelerate the transition to Specified Skilled Worker (ii) and bring a positive cycle to the food service industry.
