Ikaho Onsen x Wpc. 'A Cool Gift for a Comfortable Summer in Ikaho': Providing 800 Parasols to Support Heatstroke Prevention

World Party Co., Ltd., which operates the umbrella brand 'Wpc.', will provide 800 parasols to the Ikaho Onsen stone staircase in Shibukawa City, Gunma Prefecture, which is celebrating its 450th anniversary, to support heatstroke prevention. Starting June 1, 2026, free rentals will be available to tourists. Gunma Prefecture is known as the 'hottest region in Japan,' having recorded the highest temperature in the country at 41.8°C. At Ikaho Onsen, heatstroke prevention during outdoor walking is a major challenge. To ensure tourists can enjoy their trip comfortably, 800 parasols will be placed at 38 locations including inns and restaurants. The parasols feature five designs, 100% UV protection, 100% light blocking, and UPF50+ fabric, marked with an orange hot spring key charm.
