WOWOW Inc. and JCOM Co., Ltd. have announced a significantly expanded licensing agreement with Paramount Global Content Distribution (Paramount). Under this new initiative, 18 of Paramount's latest high-profile drama series will be released sequentially in Japan with 'Japan-first' and exclusive status.
Through this collaboration, Paramount's premium content will be delivered via 'WOWOW on Demand' and 'J:COM STREAM.' The robust lineup includes:
- Matlock Season 2 and Elsbeth Season 3 from CBS. - NCIS: Origins Season 2 and NCIS: Sydney Season 3 (starting May 22, 2026). - New seasons of Mob Land and Tulsa King, which gained immense popularity in Japan last year. - New series from executive producer Taylor Sheridan, including 'Marshals (working title)' and the 'Star Trek' franchise. - New spin-offs like 'CIA (working title)' from the FBI franchise and 'Einstein (working title)' starring Matthew Gray Gubler.
In addition to the latest seasons, the offering includes legacy titles such as 'CSI: Crime Scene Investigation' and blockbuster films like 'Top Gun' and 'Mission: Impossible.'
