Tournament Overview
The French Open, the second Grand Slam of the 2026 season, kicks off on May 24th. WOWOW will broadcast the main draw live daily, following the qualifiers.
Ahead of the tournament, Naomi Osaka and Moyuka Uchijima, who will compete in the women's singles, shared their thoughts in exclusive interviews. Osaka, whose best French Open performance is reaching the third round, will face L. Siegemund (Germany) in the first round. Uchijima, who has qualified for eight consecutive Grand Slam main draws, will play C. Liu (USA). Both are scheduled to appear from May 25th.
Players to Watch
On the men's side, J. Sinner (Italy), the second player in history to achieve the "Career Golden Masters," aims for a career Grand Slam. Attention is also on 39-year-old N. Djokovic (Serbia), a three-time French Open champion.
In the women's draw, world No. 1 A. Sabalenka and I. Swiatek (Poland), who achieved a three-peat at the French Open from 2022 to 2024, are expected to lead a highly competitive field.
