WWDJAPAN (operated by INFAS Publications, Inc.) held the 'WWDJAPAN REUSE MARKET 2026 SPRING,' a culture and experience-oriented event aimed at realizing a sustainable society, on April 18, 2026, at the Goldwin headquarters in Omotesando, Tokyo.

Continuing with the theme 'Circulate, Don’t discard,' the event proposed a circular lifestyle through reuse, remaking, and repair. With official support from the Ministry of the Environment, it was designed as a place for consumers to become conscious of their role as 'bearers of circulation.'

The second iteration of this event recorded approximately 1,800 visitors, surpassing the previous event. The venue was bustling with attendees even before the start.

A visitor survey (111 valid responses) revealed the following results: - Increased interest in reuse: 88.3% answered 'increased.' - Intention to attend next time: 83.0%. - Average purchase per person: ¥15,845 (highest purchase: ¥200,000).

These results demonstrate that an event combining 'experience' with sales effectively promoted a shift in awareness towards a circular society. The joy of reuse, where the stories of items are shared through dialogue between sellers and visitors, led to high purchasing intent and satisfaction.

Approximately 80% of visitors were in their 20s to 40s, with the 30s age group being the largest (30%). Geographically, 94% of visitors were from the Tokyo metropolitan area, with 70% from Tokyo itself, indicating strong support from a fashion-conscious demographic.

The most popular content included the 'Flea Market by Industry Leaders,' featuring items selected by professionals, as well as 'Custom & Repair Performances by Artists' and a 'Self-Repair Experience Workshop.' Visitors commented, 'I was thrilled to buy an item directly from someone I admire,' and 'I rediscovered the fun of repair,' highlighting the community experience as a major draw.

The event reframed sustainability as a 'fun, participatory experience,' offering a diverse range of content including reuse, remaking, upcycling, community, food, and music to promote a 'circular lifestyle.'
