Bandai Namco Experience to Reduce CO2 Emissions by 10,000 Tons Annually for Amusement Facility Decarbonization

Bandai Namco Experience Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Hiroshi Kawasaki), in collaboration with Aeon Mall Co., Ltd. and Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd., will work to reduce CO2 emissions from its domestic amusement facilities using FIT non-fossil fuel certificates.

### Background and Overview of Decarbonization Initiatives

With amusement operations accounting for approximately 70% of CO2 emissions from Bandai Namco Group facilities, the company has been implementing various measures, including switching to renewable energy and improving the energy efficiency of its commercial amusement machines.

Beginning in fiscal 2025 with the cooperation of Aeon Mall, and in fiscal 2026 with the cooperation of Mitsui Fudosan, the company will receive FIT non-fossil fuel certificates to reduce CO2 emissions from amusement facilities located within their properties. Additionally, the company will procure its own FIT non-fossil fuel certificates. This initiative is expected to reduce annual CO2 emissions by approximately 10,000 tons, equivalent to roughly 28% of the emissions from the company's domestic amusement facilities.

### Breakdown of Procurement and Reductions

- **FIT Non-Fossil Fuel Certificate Procurement** - Power provided by Aeon Mall: Approximately 7.8 million kWh (31 locations) - Power provided by Mitsui Fudosan Group: Approximately 4 million kWh (21 locations) - Independent procurement: 10 million kWh (Fiscal 2025 procurement from ByWill Inc.)

- **Estimated CO2 Emission Reduction** - Approximately 9,832–9,963 t-CO2 - Emission factor: 0.451–0.457 kg-CO2/kWh (Reference: TEPCO Energy Partner fiscal 2025 factor)

### Future Outlook

Bandai Namco Group views climate change response as essential for sustainable business development. It has set a mid-to-long-term target of net-zero greenhouse gas emissions from its own facilities by 2050, and a 50% reduction by 2030 compared to fiscal 2019 levels.
