'Adults Sharing Dreams' to Change Japan - 3,695 People's Dream-Telling Project Launches from Shiga for Social Transformation

Starting September 2025, Toshihori Nishi, an 'Adult Dream-Telling Guide' residing in Shiga Prefecture, will officially launch the '3,695 People's Dream-Telling Project' on a national scale. Based on the belief that 'adults sharing their dreams will change children's futures,' Nishi has already conducted career education classes at 11 elementary schools in Shiga and Kyoto since 2023. Leveraging a track record of publishing over 340 dream-telling videos on social media, the project aims to film and broadcast 3,695 individual dreams, achieve 24 million social media followers, expand classes to all 47 prefectures, and revitalize regions through 'Dream Time Capsules.' This is a mechanism for large-scale social change built on individual dreams.

In September 2025, Japan's first full-scale national project for 'Adult Dream-Telling' began in Shiga. The goal is 3,695 people—each of whose dreams will be captured on video and delivered across Japan via social media. The societal atmosphere where 'adults stop talking about dreams' has led to a shortage of role models for children. Career education sites across Japan report that children struggle to envision their future. Furthermore, regional depopulation and declining vitality are serious issues. Nishi believes that adults having and expressing their own dreams is the greatest gift to the next generation.

Toshihori Nishi, while serving as the fourth-generation owner of his family's hair salon, also acts as a rhythm trainer, mental health/diet advisor, and video creator. Starting in May 2023 in Shiga, he achieved his 100th video in December 2024. From January 2025, he has conducted classes at 11 elementary schools (including Seta Minami, Seta Kita, Ishiyama, Kitano, Kirihara, Kawase, Konan Daisan, Tanakami, Azuchi, and Kamo). He also taught adult classes at the Shiga Prefecture 'Omi Mirai Juku' sub-course.

The project stands on five pillars: 1. Filming and broadcasting 3,695 dreams; 2. Realizing 24 million social media followers; 3. Conducting classes in all 47 prefectures; 4.
