discord Yohji Yamamoto Launches Umbrella Collection in Collaboration with Fukui Yosagasa on June 5

Starting Friday, June 5, discord Yohji Yamamoto will launch three types of umbrellas.

This collection, consisting of folding parasols, folding umbrellas, and long umbrellas, was created in collaboration with Fukui Yosagasa, a luxury umbrella manufacturer based in Fukui Prefecture.

All models feature a patented universal design handle from Fukui Yosagasa. Additionally, as a special specification, the brand's signature is engraved onto the wooden handle.

For the parasols, traditional hand-woven Indian 'Khadi' fabric is used. The fabric is characterized by its rich expression and rustic texture, created by weaving hand-spun cotton and linen yarns.

For the umbrellas, the brand uses 'Nurenza,' a signature model from Fukui Yosagasa. Born from feedback about being troubled by water droplets on clothes or shoes while on trains or in cars on rainy days, Nurenza uses super-water-repellent fibers rather than standard water-repellent coatings. A simple shake of the umbrella removes water droplets, keeping it nearly dry.
