Yokohama FC has been awarded the 'Meiji Yasuda Local Genki Award' at the '2026 J-League Sharen! Awards' hosted by the Japan Professional Football League (J-League). Out of the activities entered by 59 clubs nationwide, Yokohama FC's project, titled '4 Years Since the Outside World ~Happiness Longevity Woven by Medical, Facilities, and the Club~', was selected for the honor. This marks Yokohama FC's first award at the J-League Sharen! Awards.

The Sharen! Awards have been held since 2020 to share and recognize activities by J-League clubs that address regional and social issues by leveraging the club's influence and connection power. The term 'Sharen!' stands for social collaboration, involving at least three parties such as local residents, companies, municipalities, or schools.

The winning entry is part of the 'Be supporters!' initiative organized by the J-League and Suntory Wellness. It is a challenge to support elderly residents in 'living like themselves until the very end,' created through the courage of residents and the shared passion of their families, facility staff, and Yokohama FC.

An award ceremony is scheduled to take place during a Yokohama FC home game in the 2026-27 season. Details regarding the date and specific match will be announced once finalized.
