Nature Photographer Yuki Ueda to Release New Photo Book "ARCA: The Story of This Planet"

On June 18, 2026, Shogakukan-Shueisha Productions will publish "ARCA: The Story of This Planet," a new photo book by nature photographer Yuki Ueda, who is affiliated with Yoshimoto Kogyo.

Guided by the belief that "unimaginable landscapes enrich the hearts of those who see them," Ueda travels to the world's most remote regions to document truths that cannot be found on the internet or in encyclopedias. This latest collection features approximately 100 dynamic and stunning landscape photographs, including the jet-black sky from the summit of Mt. Everest, the 360-degree horizon of the Salar de Uyuni, and the elusive "Spirit Bear." The book also includes newly captured images from his expeditions in January 2026.

The title "ARCA" refers to an ark, symbolizing Earth as a vessel carrying life through space. From the highest peaks of the Himalayas to the vast landscapes of Antarctica, the book offers a profound narrative of our planet through Ueda's lens and accompanying prose, inviting readers to experience the breathtaking beauty of the world's frontiers.
