Our foundation endorses April Dream, an initiative to make April 1st a day for expressing dreams. This press release represents the dream of "General Incorporated Foundation Yumeiku."

There are children who say, "I have no dreams."

Children who have been abused by their parents, children without parents, children who have no place at school— In such environments, the word "dream" itself feels distant.

General Incorporated Foundation Yumeiku conducts activities that create opportunities for such children to feel, "I want to do this."

The name "Yumeiku" carries the meaning in Japanese of "going towards a dream" and "nurturing a dream," and in English, "You Make = You create."

We embed the idea that children themselves are the creators of their dreams in this name.

Dream ① Turning Art by Children with Disabilities into Scholarships — ONEART

Under the philosophy that "disability does not exist in art," ONEART transforms original drawings by children with disabilities into artworks by professional artists, which are then exhibited. 60% of the sales revenue is returned as scholarships to the children who drew them and their families.

The revenue distribution is as follows:

・ 60% ▶ Returned as scholarships to the children who drew them and their families

・ 20% ▶ Participating artists

・ 20% ▶ Operating costs

For the children, it's an experience where their creations reach someone.

At the same time, for their families, it's an opportunity to feel that "there are people who care about their child."

Dream ② Going to Meet People You Want to Meet — "6 Degrees of Separation"

Even children who say, "I have no dreams,"

begin to speak of what they truly want to do or who they admire through repeated dialogue.

In "6 Degrees of Separation, Opening the Future," a new YouTube project launched by Yumeiku,

children with pediatric cancer and those in foster care will participate in a project to meet people they want to meet.

"Six Degrees of Separation" — the idea that you can meet anyone in the world by tracing six connections —

We embody this idea and deliver the success experience that "dreams come true" to children.

And we aim for a society where those who see their efforts

feel inspired to "try something themselves."

Crowdfunding Currently Underway

To expand ONEART's activities nationwide, we are conducting a crowdfunding campaign.

Supporters will receive art pieces (posters, original drawings) jointly created by children and artists, among other rewards.

Application period: March 23 - May 29, 2026

I have seen many people who have stood at life's crossroads without being able to speak of their dreams.

The desire to have been able to support them sooner is the origin of my current activities.

We cannot save all children who are suffering.

Nevertheless, I want to support those who are trying to stand up for themselves, even a little.

For adults whom children rely on to show them a never-give-up attitude towards their dreams.

I believe that this accumulation will lead to the realization that "dreams can come true."
