(Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Yoshihide Fujii, TOKYO PRO Market listed: Securities Code 358A), a comprehensive real estate service provider specializing in commercial real estate, announces the acquisition of the former Hotel Jubankan located in Wakuromachi, Nanao City, Ishikawa Prefecture, and its regeneration and opening as a sauna-specialized hotel, "(Tentative) HOTEL ZEN SAUNA RESORT –Wakura–." The opening is scheduled for December 2026.

Concept

This facility aims to be a "Wellness Destination" that walks hand-in-hand with the community, not merely an accommodation facility. The basic policy is to enhance the overall appeal of the region by cooperating and coexisting with the existing facilities of Wakuura Onsen, which has a history of 1200 years since its opening, rather than competing with them.

Guests will be offered an authentic sauna "totonoi" experience and recovery food utilizing Noto ingredients, provided at different times of the day. It will also be available for day-use, operating as a wellness hub open to the community.

Our approach to this project: Together with Wakura

The Noto Peninsula Earthquake on January 1, 2024, caused extensive damage to Wakuura Onsen, which boasts a 1200-year history. All accommodation facilities were forced to close, and even now, more than two years after the earthquake, less than half of them have been able to resume operations. Some ryokans were forced to close down due to the combination of disaster damage and financial difficulties. The former Hotel Jubankan was one of them.

Jubankan, an inn with 22 rooms overlooking Nanao Bay, had been cherished by locals since its opening in 2005. Its performance declined during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the damage from the Noto Peninsula Earthquake combined with the representative's poor health led to the unavoidable cessation of operations. When we first visited this building, we saw it not just as a real estate property, but as a "place" that had been loved by many people.
