Zeon Corporation Launches Data Management System to Revolutionize R&D in Elastomer Field

Zeon Corporation (headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Tetsuya Toyoshima; hereinafter "Zeon") has started offering, from June 29, 2026, a data management system specialized for research and development in the elastomer field. This system, offered as Zeon's first subscription-based service, enables centralized data management and utilization in rubber product R&D, thereby contributing to improved efficiency and advancement of customers' research and development. Initially, the system will be introduced to customers in Japan, with plans for gradual expansion.

In elastomer product R&D settings, data is often scattered and managed individually, leading to challenges such as difficulty in reusing past data—issues rooted in data management. Through long-standing provision of elastomer materials and dialogues with customers, Zeon has recognized these challenges as critical and common across the industry.

Developed to address these industry-wide issues, the system features practical functionalities tailored to rubber product R&D environments. By integrating master data of major domestic compounding agents and various catalog information into a comprehensive database, it enables customers to rapidly and efficiently utilize data in daily R&D operations. Additionally, designed with high usability and data accessibility in mind based on the workflow of rubber material R&D processes, the system delivers an intuitive and user-friendly interface and experience (UI/UX). Going forward, Zeon plans to sequentially implement functional enhancements and updates in response to customer needs.

Under its mid-term management plan STAGE30, Zeon has defined growth drivers to lead its third-phase expansion, as well as next-generation growth drivers targeting growth beyond the current phase. In June of this year, Zeon designated this system as one of the next-generation growth drivers, aiming to develop it into a key business supporting the high-value-added strategy of its elastomer materials business. By integrating its accumulated expertise in elastomer materials with advanced data utilization technologies, Zeon will continue to support innovation in customers' R&D and contribute to the further advancement and evolution of the elastomer industry as a whole.
