Zoom's new MCP capabilities integrate conversation intelligence, enterprise data, and optimized search, allowing AI tools to search, reason, and execute faster while understanding the context of business operations.

SAN JOSE, Calif., May 18, 2026 – Zoom Video Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: ZM) today announced the expansion of its Model Context Protocol (MCP) server capabilities. This expansion extends Zoom's conversation intelligence, agentic search, and platform capabilities to select third-party AI tools and workflows. With this update, organizations can now securely access Zoom AI Companion insights within platforms like OpenAI's Codex and Anthropic's Claude, allowing teams to bring reliable organizational context into the AI systems they use.

"AI workflows become significantly more powerful when they can operate based on organizational context," said Brendan Ittelson, Chief Ecosystem Officer at Zoom. "By expanding our MCP capabilities, we are making Zoom's conversation intelligence, collaboration history, and AI platform capabilities available across the AI ecosystem. This allows developers and organizations to build workflows and experiences with a deeper understanding of context."

Key Highlights of Zoom's MCP Expansion: - Conversation Intelligence Across AI Tools: Direct access to Zoom meeting summaries, transcripts, recordings, notes, and action items within integrated AI environments. - Agentic Search Across Enterprise Systems: Enables AI tools to reason based on organizational context spanning Zoom Meetings, Chat, Phone, and Canvas, as well as 10+ third-party platforms including Salesforce, Workday, and ServiceNow. - OpenAI Codex Plugin for Developer Workflows: Embeds meeting intelligence into coding environments to assist with documentation, task management, and automation based on meeting context. - My Notes Intelligence Across AI Workflows: Allows users to reference notes, summaries, and action items on third-party AI platforms, maintaining individual collaboration context across tools. - Cross-Platform Organizational Context: Combines conversation intelligence, enterprise systems, and business data to reduce fragmented searching across disconnected tools.

Connecting Conversations, Systems, and Organizational Context: Zoom is expanding access to agentic search through the Zoom MCP server, allowing Zoom AI Companion and integrated third-party AI tools to reason across the organization's entire context. This includes Salesforce account information, Workday employee records and time-off balances, and ServiceNow ticket and incident data. At launch, agentic search supports 10 integrated third-party platforms, with additional integrations planned for the coming months. These features are currently available on OpenAI's Codex and Anthropic's Claude.
