The Tokyo Metropolitan Government is conducting a certification system for 'Companies with Male Childcare Leave Promotion Leaders' to increase the rate of male employees taking childcare leave in Tokyo-based companies. The 'Male Childcare Leave Promotion Leader' certification system supports the development of workplace environments where male employees can naturally take childcare leave, allowing both men and women to balance childcare and work. Companies that appoint men who have taken a total of 30 days or more of childcare leave as 'Male Childcare Leave Promotion Leaders,' and who identify issues, set goals, and conduct internal training to promote male childcare leave, are certified as 'Companies with Male Childcare Leave Promotion Leaders.' Eligible companies must have their head office in Tokyo and have at least 5 regular employees.
