Jin-ai Girls' High School Hosts Drone Experience Event! 16 Students Try Operating National Qualification Training Drones

Mugen no Sora Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Sabae City, Fukui Prefecture, President: Akihiro Hisamori), which operates "Drone Campus," the largest drone school network in Japan with 18 locations approved by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, held a drone experience event for students at Jin-ai Girls' High School (Fukui City, Fukui Prefecture) on June 25, 2026 (Thu). On the day, 16 participants experienced a special 180-minute curriculum, which included a lecture on the latest drone market and demonstration experiment cases within Fukui Prefecture, followed by hands-on operation experience using aircraft used for national qualification training.

Background and Objectives of the Drone Experience Event

Since the start of the national drone qualification system in 2022, the industrial use of drones has been rapidly advancing in various fields such as infrastructure inspection, logistics, and agriculture. While our company has been training immediately deployable pilots by operating "1-night, 2-day intensive" training camps at 18 locations nationwide, we also believe it is important to widely inform the younger generation about the current state of the drone industry and its application examples in society. Therefore, we planned and implemented a special 60-minute experience event targeting students of Jin-ai Girls' High School in our local Fukui Prefecture, to convey the potential of drones and specific application examples within Fukui Prefecture.

Event Program: "Lecture" on the Current State of Drones and "Operation Experience"

The experience event was conducted in two parts: a "lecture" to experience the social implementation of drones, and a "practical session" to actually touch the aircraft.

1. [Lecture] Learning About Domestic and International Market Trends and "Demonstration Experiments in Fukui Prefecture"

We explained the current drone market and the latest industry trends. We introduced the latest examples of transportation, logistics, and inspection operations overseas, and explained the laws, rules, and safety management precautions for beyond-visual-line-of-sight and nighttime drone flights. Furthermore, as "drone demonstration experiment and application examples within Fukui Prefecture" familiar to students, we introduced specific initiatives such as the following, conveying that drones have already become indispensable for regional revitalization and the creation of safe communities:

Tsuruga City: Utilization for smart logistics (material transport)

Fukui City: Rapid disaster investigation during emergencies

Eiheiji Town: Logistics and efficient transportation of agricultural products

Nanjō Firefighting Union: Understanding situations at fire scenes and utilization in mountain rescue

2. [Practical Session] Challenge Operating Actual National Qualification Training Drones and Small Drones!

In the practical session in the latter half, we provided actual drones used in the training courses for obtaining the national qualification (Second-Class Unmanned Aircraft Operator) and safe-to-handle small drones. Under the guidance of instructors, participants experienced the sensation of actually holding theプロポ (transmitter) and controlling the aircraft. Simultaneously, with small drones, automatic flight was performed using programming.
