Rock Bar "Asbury Park" Celebrates The Beatles' 60th Anniversary in Japan with "Beatles Monday" in June, Playing All 13+1 Albums on Vinyl from June 1st to 29th

Asbury Park, an adult rock bar in Shibuya, Tokyo, where you can enjoy classic Western rock and soul music from the 60s to 90s, will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the legendary rock band The Beatles' visit to Japan on Monday, June 29, 2026. To mark this occasion, every Monday from June 1st will be designated "Beatles Monday," exclusively playing Beatles songs on vinyl records.

They will feature The Beatles' 13 official LP albums and Past Masters (a single collection), presented in reverse order from newest to oldest. "Beatles Monday" will kick off on Monday, June 1st, with their final album, "Let It Be," and conclude on Monday, June 29th, with their debut album, "Please Please Me."

On "Beatles Monday" days, requests will be accepted, but only for Beatles songs or cover versions.

◆ About Rock Bar "Asbury Park"

Our bar was opened in 2014 by Mitsuhiro Adachihara, a former SONY Records executive. On March 3, 2026, it was taken over and renovated by Kiichiro Mochida, a former producer for FM radio station J-WAVE.

"I want to listen to nostalgic Western rock and soul music at high volume!" "I own records, but I don't have the equipment to listen to them at home!" For such music lovers, we not only accept free requests but also offer a paid service called "DJ Challenge," where you can play records from our collection or bring your own.

During regular business hours (Monday-Saturday, 7 PM - 12 AM), we primarily select Western music from the 70s to 90s on analog records. We also accept free requests. If we don't have the record, we'll use the internet to fulfill requests as much as possible. Additionally, for those who want to "spin records themselves!" we offer a paid service called "DJ Challenge," where you can come empty-handed and DJ with the bar's records. Regular customers often bring their own records to DJ (5,000 yen for 30 minutes).

The drink menu includes premium beers, whiskies, champagnes, vodkas, gins, rums, wines, and "original cocktails" named after songs, available in both alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions.

With an interior that looks great on camera, having been used for a dialogue program (BS TV Tokyo) featuring musician Reichi "CHABO" Nakaido and rock critic Yoichi Shibuya, our venue can also be utilized as a recording studio for TV, radio, and YouTube.
