Yuzawa Kogen Panorama Park (Yuzawa Kogen Co., Ltd., Yuzawa, Niigata) will commence its 2026 summer season on Saturday, May 30. Against a backdrop of majestic peaks from the Tanigawa mountain range to the Echigo Mountains, the park offers outdoor activities for all ages, alpine botanical tours, and gourmet experiences using seasonal local ingredients.
At the Ropeway Panorama Station (Summit Station) area at 1,000m altitude, visitors can relax at an open-deck footbath overlooking 2,000m peaks. The early summer to rainy season is considered the best time to view rare alpine flora.
### Popular Activities - **Summer Bobsleigh 706**: The park's top attraction, featuring a 706-meter descent on a metal lane. Speed is controlled by a lever. Riders aged 8 (or 2nd grade) and up can ride solo. - **Mountain Go-kart**: Drive authentic engine-powered karts through a hilly highland course. Available for solo driving from 5th grade and up. - **Zipline Adventure**: An exhilarating aerial glide across the park. Guided tours are provided, and advance reservation is recommended.
### Alpine Botanical Garden "Alp no Sato" Located at the far end of the summit area, this is one of Japan's largest rock gardens, reproducing a 2,500m alpine environment. Rare plants such as Edelweiss and Primula bulleyana bloom beautifully during this season.
### Limited-Time "Sweets Fair" From May 30 to June 30, "kumo cafe" at the Summit Station will host a festival themed around seasonal cherries. - **Cherry Parfait** (700 JPY): A harmony of juicy cherries and rich vanilla ice cream. - **Cherry Waffle** (1,000 JPY): Crispy stick waffles topped generously with cherries.
