Wakayama Hotel Kayuu Opens Pool 1 Month Early on June 8 Due to Heat Forecast

And Resort Co., Ltd. has announced that its oceanfront hotel 'Hana Irodori no Yado Kayuu' in Taiji, Wakayama Prefecture, will open its garden pool starting June 8, 2026. Anticipating severe heat this summer, the opening is a month earlier than usual to ensure guests can comfortably enjoy their trip to the Kumano area. The pool is surrounded by Kumano's mountains and serves as an ideal spot to cool down after visiting world heritage sites like Kumano Kodo and Nachi Falls. It is free for staying guests, while visitors can use it for 1,500 yen for adults and 750 yen for children (higher rates apply during the Obon period in August). The pool will operate from 8:00 to 17:00 until August 31, 2026. In addition, an adjacent glamping facility will also open a pool for dogs. The hotel aims to enhance the value of stay as a hub for local tourism in the Nanki region.
