Seminar content The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology defines global talent as individuals with language proficiency, communication skills, a Japanese identity, understanding of Japanese and other cultures, proactiveness, a challenging spirit, cooperativeness, flexibility, and the ability to create new value.

These abilities and qualities are also sought from a global business perspective, but I believe the most necessary requirement is whether an individual can generate profit overseas. This requires a global mindset, cross-cultural management skills, business knowledge, understanding of the business environment, language proficiency, and adaptability. In short, communication skills are key.

In this seminar, instructor Higuchi, who served as the former president of Sumitomo Corporation Mexico, will explain the requirements and mindset necessary for global talent, including methods for developing global talent who can achieve results in a diversifying global market.
