Improve Energy Co., Ltd., based in Osaka, specializing in the planning, development, sale, and rental of temporary toilets, announced its support for the 'Kumamoto Keirin Disaster Experience Event' held on May 23, 2026, where it will install four units of its new infection-prevention temporary toilet series, 'ZoneZero'.
This event is organized by Kumamoto City to mark the 10th anniversary of the Kumamoto earthquake, under the theme 'Learning Disaster Preparedness through Experience'. Visitors will have the opportunity to use and experience the ZoneZero units, highlighting the importance of sanitation during disasters.
ZoneZero features proprietary 'Odorless-Fi' technology, which uses negative ions and low-concentration ozone to decompose and neutralize odor molecules, bacteria, and viruses, maintaining an odorless environment despite being a pit-latrine style toilet. Additionally, the unit is designed for hygiene and comfort, featuring a fully washable interior structure and touchless hand-washing stations. Developed through insights gained from disaster support activities such as the Noto Peninsula earthquake, the product aims to resolve sanitation issues during disasters.
