(Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, Chairman, and CEO: Hirokazu Yoshida; hereinafter "the Company") announces that its energy storage system "POWER iE Connect" has acquired the "JC-STAR" ★1 (Level 1) compliance label, a security requirement conformity assessment and labeling system operated by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Information-technology Promotion Agency, Japan (IPA).

What is JC-STAR? JC-STAR (Japan Cyber-Security Technical Assessment Requirements) is a security requirement conformity assessment and labeling system operated by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Information-technology Promotion Agency, Japan (IPA). It targets a wide range of IoT products equipped with internet communication functions, aiming to create an environment where users can confidently select products by evaluating and visualizing their security functions.

Background to the Acquisition of the JC-STAR Compliance Label In recent years, with the widespread adoption of IoT products, security risks such as cyber attacks have been on the rise. Even energy storage systems equipped with communication functions require more advanced security measures. In light of this situation, we have proceeded with the acquisition of the JC-STAR compliance label so that users can select and use our products with peace of mind from a cybersecurity perspective.
