A10 Lab Inc. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Go Nagasaka), the developer of the habit-forming app 'Minchalle,' announced a partnership with Otsuki City, Yamanashi Prefecture (Mayor: Nobuyasu Kobayashi), to launch a frailty prevention program for the elderly. The project aims to address the 'time and location constraints' caused by Otsuki City's unique topography and employment conditions by leveraging digital technology and peer support. The goal is to establish an advanced model case that allows residents to continue living healthily in their familiar communities. With an aging rate of 44.4% as of April 2026, frailty prevention is a pressing issue for the city. However, many citizens have been unable to participate in traditional in-person classes. By utilizing 'Minchalle' to form new digital mutual-aid communities, the project aims to prevent isolation and encourage the establishment of exercise and lifestyle habits. The program will begin on June 1, 2026, targeting citizens aged 65 and over, with support provided through app usage workshops.
