Kasoku Inc. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President: Keisuke Arai; hereinafter 'Kasoku'), a firm that handles everything from hotel planning to post-opening operations, has participated in an office-to-hotel conversion project promoted by Vortex Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Fumihiko Miyazawa; hereinafter 'Vortex'). Kasoku was responsible for building the brand concept, selecting and supervising interior designs, furniture, and art, and managing the operation of 'HOTEL EN-YO,' an apartment hotel located in Kanda Sakumacho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. The hotel held its grand opening on Monday, May 18, 2026.
From office building to a hotel welcoming travelers HOTEL EN-YO is a project that converted a building originally constructed as an office building into a hotel. In this plan, which is a first for Vortex, Kasoku handled everything from the hotel's brand design and space creation to its operation after opening.
In this project, the focus was not just on changing the building's use, but on redesigning the very experience of welcoming guests. The uniform impression of an office was edited into a space possessing the warmth and excitement of a hotel.
Apartment Hotel 'HOTEL EN-YO' born from 'En' (Connection) and 'Yo' (Vessel) The brand name 'EN-YO' is derived from 'En' (connection between people) and 'Yo' (a vessel to receive stays). It aims to be a 'hub of travel' where guests can harmonize their mind and body before heading to their next destination, while embracing the relationships created during their journey.
The hotel provides a secure hub for inbound families, groups, and multi-city travelers to stay with peace of mind.
Akihabara and Kanda area where urban bustle and serenity intersect Kanda Sakumacho in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, where HOTEL EN-YO is located, is adjacent to Akihabara, a global cultural hub, while still retaining old-fashioned streets and quiet restaurant districts. Leveraging the location's characteristics, where urban hustle and quiet daily life coexist, the aim was to create a hub for stay that supports both tourism and rest.
Spatial design with functionality and warmth for group stays The design is based on mid-century modern, providing functionality and openness that make it easy for groups to spend time together. With a wood-based interior, rhythm was added to the space through accent colors and lighting plans, aiming for a balance between peace of mind and moderate excitement.
Furthermore, as a feature unique to conversion projects, renewals were carried out such as refreshing exterior materials, dry garden-style planting plans, and replacing existing automatic doors with designed doors made of metal materials. The experience value as a hotel has been reconstructed from the moment of arrival until the stay in the guest rooms.
