Kabaya Foods Corporation and JR East Cross Station Co., Ltd. will implement the "Add Salt Charge to Hydration! Campaign"*1, distributing approximately 100,000 packs of "Salt Charge Tablets (4 tablets)" at 68 "Bex Coffee Shop" locations, primarily in "Ekinaka" (inside stations) in the Tokyo metropolitan area, starting July 22, 2026 (Wed) as part of efforts to combat the heat for station users. One pack will be distributed per checkout of a purchased item.

*1: Distribution will end when each store's supply of "Salt Charge" runs out.

Kabaya Foods' flagship brand, "Salt Charge," promotes the slogan "Supporting you who sweat." It is positioned as an "essential item for sweating" that supports "everyone who sweats in any scene throughout the year" and has been sold year-round since fiscal year 2026. "Salt Charge" is a ramune-type tablet confection that allows users to easily and deliciously replenish minerals such as salt and potassium lost through sweat. It crumbles easily when chewed, melts in the mouth, is resistant to melting even in extreme heat, and comes in individual packaging for easy portability, making it convenient to consume while on the go.

"Bex Coffee Shop," operated by JR East Cross Station, is a cafe that stays close to customers' daily lives and offers new value through a cup of coffee. It serves as an "Ekinaka Aid Station"*2, providing a place for customers to take a relaxing break, reset their minds, and replenish fluids and energy amidst their busy daily lives.

*2: An aid station refers to a water station set up at various points along a course, such as during marathon events, for the purpose of replenishing fluids, electrolytes, and carbohydrates.

This initiative was realized through the shared desire of both companies to support the "good sweat" of all individuals who work hard every day, sweating for themselves and for others, even in the face of severe heat.

Kabaya Foods and JR East Cross Station will support the "good sweat" of those using "Ekinaka" and trains by providing hydration at "Bex Coffee Shop" and mineral* replenishment with "Salt Charge."
