GungHo Online Entertainment, Inc. (HQ: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Kazuki Sakai) has announced the worldwide launch of 'Ninjala 2: The Unknown Planet,' a title exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2.

This all-new installment serves as the authentic next-generation successor to the original Ninjala, which has surpassed 11 million downloads worldwide. The setting shifts to a vast 'Unknown Planet,' offering an evolved open-world Ninja Gum action experience. The game is scheduled for release in Spring 2027.

About Ninjala 2: The Unknown Planet

The exhilarating Ninja Gum action returns, now set within a vast field that offers an entirely new experience of free-roaming exploration. The fast-paced action from the original Ninjala has been further enhanced.

Players can enjoy solo adventures or join forces in cooperative multiplayer for up to four players, challenging giant bosses and dungeons scattered across the field (compatible with local and online play).

[Story]

The protagonist, aspiring to become a ninja, enrolls in the WNA Academy. However, manipulated by a mysterious elder, they break a 'forbidden seal,' causing the entire academy to warp to an unknown planet. Furthermore, the terrifying 'Four Heavenly Kings of Tenma,' who were sealed away, are unleashed. Struggling to return to Earth, the protagonist explores the alien land with friends and discovers their hidden destiny.

'Ninjala 2' is a grand story told in two parts: this title, 'The Unknown Planet,' and a second part to be released as downloadable content.

Anime Expo 2026 Exhibition Confirmed!

'Ninjala 2: The Unknown Planet' will be exhibited at 'Anime Expo®,' held in Los Angeles, USA, over four days starting Thursday, July 2, 2026. Visitors can experience the world's first playable demo at the GungHo booth.

Limited-Time Free Streaming of the Ninjala Anime!

To commemorate the announcement, 63 episodes of the Ninjala anime series will be available for free streaming for a limited time on participating services starting Saturday, June 13, 2026.

Commemorative Prize Campaign!

To celebrate the announcement, a campaign is being held on X and Instagram. A total of 20 winners will be randomly selected to receive a one-year supply of Marukawa Seika bubble gum (365 pieces).

Campaign for the Original Ninjala!
