Quantum Solutions, a company listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, is advancing its plans for an AI Data Center (AIDC) business in Japan. In the process, the company has begun discussions with external strategic partners and has now signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Atto Research Cp., Ltd, a South Korean technology and industrial investment institution, regarding strategic collaboration for the Japan AIDC project.

The company has previously announced its development policy regarding the AIDC business. With the expansion of Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI Agents, and corporate AI inference demand, there is a rapidly increasing global need for high-performance GPU computing infrastructure. Quantum Solutions believes that Japan has the potential to become a key hub for AI infrastructure deployment in the Asia-Pacific region, due to its mature data center infrastructure, stable legal system, and network advantages within the region.

Against this background, the company is making concrete preparations regarding potential data center sites in Japan, high-performance GPU server deployment, financing arrangements, and industrial collaboration resources, while continuing discussions with multiple potential partners.

Based on this MOU, the two companies plan to proceed with initial discussions regarding project financing possibilities, industrial resource collaboration, and project advancement directions for the Japan AIDC project. Quantum Solutions will primarily be responsible for project advancement and operations, while Atto Research plans to provide support within the scope of its capabilities and resources. The two companies also intend to continue considering future SPC participation and customer resource collaboration.

In this AIDC project, they are considering the construction of a next-generation AI data center infrastructure capable of supporting high-density GPU deployment, with high-performance GPU systems such as NVIDIA B300 and GB300 as the core equipment candidates. In the initial stage, they plan to start with a small-scale GPU cluster for validation purposes and proceed with research on possibilities for phased expansion, while comprehensively considering market demand, data center resources, and financing environments.

The company believes that the AIDC business is a long-term infrastructure project involving large capital investment, and that securing external strategic partners and diverse financing capabilities is a key element in advancing the business. The signing of this MOU is one of the phased steps toward the realization of the Japan AIDC project, and through this collaboration with an external partner, the company aims to strengthen its business foundation in terms of funding, industrial resources, and customer acquisition.

Please note that this MOU does not have legal binding force, and specific investment amounts, financing conditions, or project implementation dates are currently undecided. The two companies will continue discussions on specific collaboration details according to project progress and will proceed with relevant decision-making and information disclosure procedures as necessary.
