Regarding the Conclusion of an Agreement on Promoting Decarbonization Activities and Creating J-Credits by Participating in Minato City's 'Carbon Synergy Consortium'

Minato City (Mayor: Ai Seike), Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd. (President: Shinichi Sasayama, hereinafter 'Tokyo Gas'), and Creatura Inc. (CEO: Michiyasu Hattori, hereinafter 'Creatura') have concluded a partnership agreement (hereinafter 'the Agreement') to promote decarbonization activities and create J-Credits, utilizing the framework of the 'Carbon Synergy Consortium'*1, for which Creatura serves as the secretariat.

Minato City is promoting various initiatives to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 and realize a decarbonized society. This Agreement aims to accelerate the efforts of residents and businesses through the 'effective utilization of environmental value by creating and saving energy'.

Tokyo Gas entered into a business partnership agreement*2 for J-Credit creation with Creatura in December 2024 and joined the 'Carbon Synergy Consortium' in July 2025.

By leveraging the framework through the conclusion of this Agreement, we will integrate the 'J-Credit Creation Business' with existing regional decarbonization and environmental contribution activities in Minato City, thereby establishing a model for achieving an urban zero-carbon city and contributing to Minato City's environmental conservation activities and regional economic revitalization.

[Overview of Agreement Initiatives] - Promote the introduction of CO2 reduction measures by disseminating Minato City's 'Minato City Subsidy for Installation of Energy Creation and Energy Saving Equipment, etc.' to supporters (residents, etc.) engaged in decarbonization activities. - Create environmental value (J-Credits) from the CO2 reduction effects of introduced energy creation and energy-saving equipment. - Contribute to the overall CO2 reduction in the area by utilizing the obtained J-Credits within Minato City.

<Reference> In October 2023, Minato City and Tokyo Gas concluded a 'Comprehensive Partnership Agreement for the Realization of a Decarbonized Society, etc.'*3 in Minato City. Since then, they have been advancing various initiatives, including the introduction of carbon offset city gas and verification of advanced technologies.
