Previous Fukuoka Performance Sold Out Instantly! Encore Performance Decided Due to High Demand! "Planetarium Concert - Stars and Music from "Howl's Moving Castle"-"

The special performance "Planetarium Concert - Stars and Music from "Howl's Moving Castle"-", held on March 29, 2026 (Sunday) at the Fukuoka City Science Museum Dome Theater (Planetarium), recorded a sell-out on the same day. Due to popular demand, an encore performance has been decided to be held at the same venue on July 19, 2026 (Sunday).

This highly popular performance has also sold out all previous runs at Konica Minolta Planetaria TOKYO (Yurakucho, Tokyo), with a total of 100 performances planned, including an extended run starting May 16 (Saturday).

Enjoy the Music of "Howl's Moving Castle" Live

This performance is a planetarium concert where you can enjoy the music of the movie "Howl's Moving Castle" accompanied by a starry sky projected in the planetarium, performed live by professional classical musicians.

The program features many masterpieces from the "Howl's Moving Castle" Image Symphonic Suite and Soundtrack. Joe Hisaishi's fantastical and magnificent melodies, along with delicate and soul-stirring harmonies, will be reproduced live. The theme song "The Promise of the World" will also be performed specially.

The performance will be by "Ame no Shita," a piano quartet formed from members of Watanabe Hiro Strings (piano, cello, double bass, saxophone). Their delicate ensemble will evoke the memorable scenes of the movie through sound.

*This is a concert to enjoy the music of the movie "Porco Rosso" under the starry sky projected by the planetarium. Scenes from the movie itself will not be projected (used).

*This is a project organized by Konica Minolta Planetarium. Please refrain from contacting Studio Ghibli regarding this performance.

*The production content may differ slightly from the Tokyo performances due to the use of optical planetarium technology at the Fukuoka City Science Museum.

All seats are reserved for this performance. Seat numbers will be provided by ticket board approximately one week before the performance (customers cannot choose their own seat numbers).

[Event Precautions]

Due to facility and production constraints, the venue will be very dark during this event. For the safety of our guests, entry after the performance begins may be restricted, even in cases of public transportation delays. In such cases, you may not be able to view the performance from your assigned seat.

This event allows you to enjoy the starry sky, visuals, and music in a planetarium setting. Depending on the production or the dome's seating arrangement, the stage (artists) may be difficult to see.

Infection prevention measures will be thoroughly implemented according to the season.

Children who have not yet entered elementary school are not permitted to enter this performance.
