Moving Beyond Cost-Performance and Time-Performance

Santa no Gakkou Co., Ltd. (Representative: Yuma Nagasaki) has announced that attention toward "Menpa" (Mental Performance) is growing following its feature in the Yomiuri Shimbun. We are also pleased to announce the launch of our four-part online course, "Menpa School," beginning June 3 (Wednesday), and a seminar to be held on June 27 (Saturday) at the Yomiuri Shimbun Osaka Headquarters.

What is "Menpa"?

"Menpa" is an abbreviation for Mental Performance. Featured by Nikkei CrossTrend as a "2026 Consumer Trend," it is recognized as one of the most notable keywords of the year, serving as the third indicator following cost-performance and time-performance.

Yuma Nagasaki defines Menpa as "the degree to which one is convinced of their current actions."

While cost-performance and time-performance seek to maximize results based on external costs or time, Menpa shifts the standard "inward," centering on "personal conviction." It addresses the structural issue of feeling unfulfilled despite maximizing efficiency.
