Sixth Sense Lab Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Fukuoka; CEO: Nahoko Ishikawa), a Femtech company specializing in supplements based on Eastern medicine and the Five Elements theory, conducted an internet survey on the theme of 'Holistic' health. The survey involved 248 women aged 40 to 69 between February 25 and March 4, 2026.
According to the results, only 12% of respondents stated they 'know well' or 'somewhat understand' the term 'holistic.' A significant generational gap was observed: 36% of women in their early 40s recognized the term, while the figure was 0% for those in their early 60s, showing higher awareness among younger demographics.
Despite low terminology recognition, about 70% of respondents sympathized with the holistic approach when the concept was explained. Regarding their current health, fewer than 30% felt they were 'energetic,' while over 40% reported chronic fatigue or persistent malaise.
The study also found a shifting mindset regarding health improvement. Instead of relying solely on hospitals or medication, more women are realizing the importance of self-management, including lifestyle habits and mental well-being. Detailed analysis of this survey is available on the company's informational site, 'PURAVIDA.'
