Scopely Explora Inc. (hereinafter 'Scopely Explora') and Capcom Co., Ltd. (hereinafter 'Capcom') jointly announced today, September 1, the details of the real-world event 'Monster Hunter Now Carnival 2026: Osaka,' to be held over two days from Saturday, November 14 to Sunday, November 15, 2026, in the Namba area of Osaka City.

This event is a two-day, real-world experience centered around 'Monster Hunter Now,' set in the Namba district of Chuo Ward, Osaka. It marks the second such event since the 'Monster Hunter Now Carnival 2024: Shibuya' held in Shibuya in 2024, making it the first in two years. Tickets will go on sale on Thursday, September 3, at 9:00 AM JST via the official event website.

At the press conference, Keiichi Kawai, President of Scopely Explora Japan, took the stage first. He expressed his joy at being able to host this real-world event—two years after the 2024 Shibuya event, which drew approximately 20,000 hunters from Japan and abroad—once again in Osaka, the birthplace of Capcom and a city deeply connected to the 'Monster Hunter' series. He shared his hopes that participants would not only enjoy hunting monsters and interacting with fellow hunters but also explore the city of Osaka through the game and experience its local charm.

He also reflected on the journey of 'Monster Hunter Now,' which is approaching its third anniversary since launch, and expressed heartfelt gratitude to the hunters who have supported and enjoyed the game.

Additionally, he announced that prior to the main event, Scopely Explora will participate in 'Midosuji Challenge 2026,' a public-private partnership project promoted by the Osaka City Construction Bureau. He emphasized their commitment to contributing to the revitalization of Osaka’s urban landscape by offering unique real-world experiences made possible by location-based gaming.

Next, Ryozo Tsujimoto, Director and Senior Executive Officer at Capcom, took the stage. He expressed his delight at hosting the event in Osaka, Capcom’s founding city and headquarters location, and affirmed Capcom’s full support for the event. As a local Osaka-based company, he expressed his hope that hunters from across Japan and overseas would not only enjoy the hunting experience but also savor Osaka’s unique food, culture, and human connections.

The press conference also included reflections on the three-year journey of 'Monster Hunter Now,' along with detailed announcements about the 'Monster Hunter Now Carnival 2026: Osaka' and both companies’ shared vision for hosting real-world events in Osaka. Special guests, Katsumi♡Sayuri, then made an appearance. Katsumi commented on the event being held in Namba, Osaka: 'Being able to play a game while walking around is fun, and Minami is interesting even just to stroll through. Hunting monsters while exploring the city will definitely be exciting.' She expressed her excitement about the synergy between the game’s unique real-world exploration gameplay and the vibrant atmosphere of Minami, home to iconic spots like Dotonbori and Namba Grand Kagetsu.

Sayuri added, 'Of course the event itself will be fun, but I believe attendees will also deeply experience the charm of Osaka’s cityscape.' She promoted the joys of Osaka’s food and urban exploration to hunters traveling from afar. Their lively banter about favorite Minami memories and recommended restaurants brought laughter and energy to the venue. Finally, Katsumi passionately called out: 'The event in November and Osaka’s Minami district are places of daily excitement, like a festival. Hunters from all over Japan—let’s make it unforgettable!'
