Miyata will participate in the first session's panel discussion titled 'The Potential of Local Startups and the Future of Ecosystems.'

Masaki Miyata: A Homegrown Entrepreneur from Shizuoka

Masaki Miyata was born in Numazu, Shizuoka. A graduate of Numazu National College of Technology and the University of Tsukuba, he is a serial entrepreneur who has founded four companies over more than a decade since starting his first venture as a student. Guided by the principles 'perseverance turns the impossible into possible' and 'nothing is unchangeable,' he co-founded Seventy Sense Marketing in 2020 with the Seventy Sense Group, a company with over 50 years of history.

At the core of his management philosophy is the belief that 'everyone involved should be naturally happy.' Miyata describes this as 'an environment where you can casually borrow soy sauce from your neighbor.' Just as lending soy sauce creates goodwill and a sense of mutual support, he aims to foster a self-sustaining cycle of collaboration within the community.

As part of this vision, Miyata established the 'Youth Challenge Fund Shizuoka' to support local students' initiatives. Since 2022, he has served as a part-time lecturer at his alma mater, Numazu High School, teaching entrepreneurship, and also holds a position on the alumni association's executive board. He emphasizes, 'Starting a business is like moving house—it’s not extraordinary, but knowing it as an option builds skills applicable to any career path.' He is deeply committed to nurturing the next generation of changemakers from his hometown.
