General Incorporated Association CHANGE FOR THE BLUE Osaka has been certifying restaurants and companies that use environmentally friendly materials as much as possible for takeout containers, bags, straws, etc., as 'As Much as Possible Paper (Kami) Support Stores,' with initiatives running throughout the year from April 2025. This year, a special feature focusing on the initiatives of each store was broadcast on a local television station from January to March 2026. This project is part of the 'Ocean and Japan Project / CHANGE FOR THE BLUE,' an initiative promoted by The Nippon Foundation to address marine plastic waste.
Project Overview ・Overview: Amidst the serious environmental problem of marine plastic waste, this initiative certifies restaurants and companies that use environmentally friendly materials as much as possible for takeout containers, bags, straws, etc., as 'As Much as Possible Paper (Kami) Support Stores.' ・Dates: April 2025 – March 2026 ・Location: Entire Osaka Prefecture Network of 'As Much as Possible Paper Support Stores' Expands! Project Also Implemented in Collaboration with Hyogo Area! The number of participating stores in the 'As Much as Possible Paper Support Project' has been increasing year by year, with the network expanding to 120 stores this fiscal year. From January to February 2026, a 'Delicious Food Gift Campaign' was conducted across Hyogo and Osaka to encourage visitors to 'As Much as Possible Paper Support Stores' to internalize the issue of marine waste.
Special Feature Broadcast on Sun TV for Three Months! From January to March 2026, a special feature on the 'As Much as Possible Paper Support Project' was broadcast every Saturday at 0:00 AM on Sun TV's 'Baki Baki☆Beat! II.' Six stores from Osaka were selected, and interviews were conducted on how each store is implementing 'Paper (Kami) Support.' The broadcast led to an increase in stores wishing to participate in the project, further expanding its reach.
