It also uses domestically produced synthetic leather of premium automotive grade that has passed accelerated aging tests equivalent to 10 years of use, achieving high durability suitable for mahjong parlors and other gaming facilities where long-term, high-frequency usage is expected. Additionally, as an officially licensed model of the Japan Professional Mahjong League, a special 'MJ Grey Japan Professional Mahjong League Model' featuring embroidered league logos will also be released.

Furthermore, the upholstery material has passed flammability testing under JIS-D-1201, the Japanese industrial standard for flammability of automotive interior materials, and is classified as 'non-combustible or self-extinguishing'(*), ensuring high safety standards. Naturally, the MJ Grey is not limited to gaming facilities and can also serve as a general-purpose desk chair. Its design reduces the enclosing feeling typical of high-back models, making it ideal for users seeking a more open and spacious seating experience.

This product is officially licensed by the Japan Professional Mahjong League, with development conducted in consultation with the league. Professional mahjong player and model Saka Okada appears in promotional visuals for the product. Additionally, it has been confirmed that all 16 tables at the league’s revamped Sugamo headquarters dojo, scheduled to reopen in early August, will be equipped with the MJ Grey, supporting professional players in their daily training and competitive play.
