Depicting Ducati's 100 Years as a "Structure of Time"

Nespolo conceived this project not merely as an homage to past models, but as artworks themed around "time itself." Central to his concept is the idea of coexisting past, present, and future within a single visual world. By juxtaposing iconic models that have graced Ducati's history with the "Collezione 100," which reinterprets them for the modern era, this project transcends the distance separating different eras, elevating the flow of 100 years into a single artistic expression.

A "Visual Timeline" Composed of 20 Works

The collection consists of 20 artworks. Ten of these are themed around motorcycles symbolizing Ducati's history. The remaining ten depict the contemporary special series "Collezione 100," which inherits their aesthetic. The pairing of past and modern models creates a mirror-like structure within the group of works. Presented at Arte Fiera, that piece reinterpreted the 996, hailed as one of the world's most beautiful superbikes, as a three-dimensional canvas, becoming an iconic work symbolizing the fusion of industrial design and contemporary art.

And now, in 2026, Nespolo has once again confronted Ducati, this time creating a new series of works themed around the flow of time itself over 100 years. The "Collezione 100" represents a new milestone in a dialogue that has continued for 25 years.
