Bombay Sapphire, the premium gin brand imported by Bacardi Japan and sold by Sapporo Breweries, will release a limited edition design bottle in collaboration with world-renowned British designer Thomas Heatherwick, starting in June 2026. This special edition bottle commemorates the Bombay Sapphire Laverstoke Mill Distillery in Hampshire, southwest England, which has been welcoming visitors from around the world since its opening in 2014. The design is inspired by the distillery's iconic glasshouses, designed by Heatherwick Studio, led by Thomas Heatherwick. The Laverstoke Mill Distillery is a restored space that once produced high-quality paper for the Bank of England for 200 years. Heatherwick Studio, known for projects like the London Olympic Cauldron and Azabudai Hills in Tokyo, designed the facility. The glasshouses, which use waste heat from the distillation process to grow botanicals, are highly acclaimed for their sustainability and design, making it the first distillery to receive 'Outstanding' certification in the design stage under BREEAM. This limited edition bottle embodies the philosophy of 'symbiosis between nature and creativity.' Natasha Curtin, Global Vice President of Bombay Sapphire, stated, 'We are incredibly proud to collaborate once again with Thomas Heatherwick, the designer of our iconic glasshouses, on this 10th-anniversary milestone.' The limited edition bottles will be rolled out nationwide starting in June 2026.
