August 8th is "Pine Candy Day"! Event "Pine Candy Summer Festival 2026" to Spread Smiles Through Pine Candy Held at COOL JAPAN PARK OSAKA TT Hall!

Pine Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tennoji-ku, Osaka, President: Masahiro Ueda), the manufacturer of Pine Candy, will hold the "Pine Candy Summer Festival 2026" event to celebrate Pine Candy Day on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at the "COOL JAPAN PARK OSAKA TT Hall" in Chuo-ku, Osaka.

This year marks the 11th anniversary since the Japan Anniversary Association certified August 8th as an anniversary in 2015 to help more people become familiar with "Pine Candy".

We will invite 275 groups (550 people) to the "Pine Candy Summer Festival 2026" event, where smiles will spread, with appearances by Takashi Yoshimura (Heisei Nobushi Kobushi), Mayurika, 5GAP, and Tadahisa Fujimura and Masamichi Ureshino.

About "Pine Candy Summer Festival 2026"

This year marks the 75th anniversary of Pine Co., Ltd.'s establishment and the launch of Pine Candy. It is also a special year with three 8s lined up: August 8, 2026 (Reiwa 8).

Takashi Yoshimura of Heisei Nobushi Kobushi, Mayurika, 5GAP, "Suiyo Dōyō" directors Tadahisa Fujimura and Masamichi Ureshino, our company's Chairman Yutaka Ueda, and our official SNS administrator Makky will also appear at the event.

The stage program is designed to deliver our heartfelt gratitude to our customers for the 75th anniversary of Pine Candy's birth, allowing them to enjoy a fun time.

We will also have merchandise sales featuring our candies including Pine Candy, plush toys of our Pine Candy character "Pine Candy-kun," venue-exclusive Pine Candy patterned face towels, and Pine Candy collaboration products. We are also planning to offer "Candy Scooping" where you scoop candy with a ladle, and free servings of "Pine Candy Mini Ice Cream."

With the "Pine Candy" in the shape of a ring, it's sure to spread a "ring" of smiles with laughter!

August 8th is "Pine Candy Day"

Pine Candy, our flagship product, was born in 1951. Pine Candy, which has been with the company since its establishment, celebrates its 75th anniversary this year. At the time of its founding, canned pineapple was a luxury item and not easily accessible. Pine Candy was created to allow people to enjoy the taste of canned pineapple more casually.

Its sweet and sour, juicy flavor, cute shape resembling a slice of pineapple, and retro packaging are still enjoyed by a wide range of age groups.

To help more people discover the deliciousness of "Pine Candy," and because pineapple is a summer fruit and the motif is a sliced pineapple, August 8th, when four "rings" (◎) align, was designated as "Pine Candy Day" and registered with the Japan Anniversary Association in 2015.

As of July 2, 2026, August 8th is the day with the most anniversaries in Japan. Our company will continue to create many smiles through "Pine Candy Day" on August 8th.

Starting Wednesday, July 1st, we will hold the tie-up project "Kyunto "Pine Candy" in Rinku Premium Outlets" for the first time!

A large photo spot, approximately 2.6 meters high, shaped like Pine Candy will appear. It's not just for viewing; it's an experiential feature where you can pose inside the familiar pineapple motif from the packaging and take photos.
