Why Conventional Cooling Innerwear Fails
'Contact cooling' only addresses heat transfer at the moment of contact with the fabric. Near-infrared rays, which make up about 50% of sunlight, penetrate typical innerwear and heat the core of the body directly. This is the primary reason the inside of clothing turns into a sauna-like environment.
The Scientific Thermal Shielding Mechanism of 'CORE SHIELD®'
Developed by PNX, 'CORE SHIELD®' incorporates 'CWO®', a special ceramic nanoparticle developed by Sumitomo Metal Mining, into its fibers. CWO® is an ultra-high-performance thermal shielding material used in aircraft and advanced building windows. Through this technology, the product has successfully suppressed temperature rises inside clothing by up to 2°C, even under direct sunlight.
