The 'Consortium for Biosimilar Promotion Model Projects by Health Insurance Associations' announces that, as part of efforts to promote and raise awareness about biosimilars, it will co-host an online seminar for patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) across Japan in collaboration with Celltrion Healthcare Japan, Inc.

This consortium is managed by White Healthcare Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Junichiro Ishizuka), which specializes in healthcare cost optimization consulting. This initiative has been adopted as a joint project under the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare's 'Subsidy for Smooth Operation of Elderly Healthcare in FY2025,' and now includes 11 participating health insurance associations with a total of approximately 1.26 million members (as of the end of FY2025).

This seminar is a new initiative where health insurance associations and a pharmaceutical company partner to provide accurate treatment information to IBD patients. Doctors and pharmacists will explain basic knowledge of medications, treatment options, and out-of-pocket costs to support patients in undergoing treatment with confidence.
