The Nurse Matsuri Executive Committee (Secretariat: Mine Healthcare Co., Ltd.) will hold "Nurse Matsuri 2026," an experiential event for nurses, for three days from July 8 (Wed) to July 10 (Fri), 2026, at the Tokyo Big Sight West Exhibition Hall Atrium.
The second announcement reveals that Misako Aoki, who is active as a Lolita fashion model and talent and also has experience as a nurse, and Kosuke Oozora, a member of the House of Representatives who has worked on social issues such as measures against loneliness and isolation, will be guest speakers.
This event aims to provide nurses with an opportunity to step away from their daily work, reflect on their own views of nursing and future work styles, and connect with colleagues. Through learning, interaction, experience, and communication, we aim to deliver a time where each nurse can take pride in "being a nurse."
Featured Guests
Misako Aoki
Misako Aoki, active domestically and internationally as a Lolita fashion model and talent, will appear. While continuing to express herself in the field of fashion, Ms. Aoki also has experience as a nurse.
She is scheduled to appear in the white coat fashion show "Nurse Decoration 2026" on July 8 at 3:30 PM. Under the theme "Shine in White - Beyond the White Coat," the fashion show will provide an opportunity to think about "valuing oneself as a person before being a nurse," by layering the professional identity of a nurse with the pursuit of a personal life and self-expression.
Kosuke Oozora
Kosuke Oozora, a member of the House of Representatives, is scheduled to appear on stage on July 9 at 10:30 AM in "Deliver the Voice of Nursing! To Our Future," organized by the Tokyo Nurses League Youth Division. This content will utilize an online survey function to discuss the voices of participants in real-time. It aims to share the realistic challenges of the nursing industry, where approximately 80% of nurses sometimes think about quitting (Note 1), and to serve as a catalyst for action.
Experience "Connecting, Being Connected, The Heart of Nursing" Through Diverse Content
In addition to guest appearances and fashion shows, Nurse Matsuri 2026 will feature a variety of programs to support nurses' learning, careers, and connections.
The main planned content is as follows:
- Nursing DX Award (July 8 Stage)
- Japan's Most Livable Hospital Award (July 10 Stage, online streaming available) - 10-Minute Nursing Seminar Relay (3 days) - Nursing DX Experience Tour (3 days) - Seminars useful for clinical practice, such as electrocardiography, physical assessment, and image interpretation (3-day stage) - Talk sessions on part-time jobs and diverse work styles (July 8 Stage) - Exchange programs on themes such as overseas medical care, remote island medical care, and community healthcare - Networking booths for nurses to connect with each other, etc.
Background of the Event
In the medical field, the environment surrounding nurses is undergoing significant changes with the advent of a super-aging society with a declining birthrate, labor shortages, diversification of work styles, promotion of community-based integrated care, and technological advancements.
However, it is not easy for individual nurses to take time to reflect on their careers and aspirations amidst their daily busy schedules.
Nurse Matsuri is a place for nurses to learn, connect, be inspired, and rediscover their own nursing practice. As a "festival for nurses," we aim to create a warm, positive, and accessible space for participants, including families and the general public, unlike academic conferences or training sessions.

Organizer's Comment
Nurse Matsuri is a place not only for nurses to "learn" but also to "meet," "talk," "experience," and "regain themselves." We want nurses themselves, who dedicate themselves to patients and users every day, to be able to value their own lives and careers. We also want many people to feel how noble and cool the job of a nurse is for society. With these sentiments, we will hold Nurse Matsuri again this year.
This time, we are planning guests and programs that connect with society and culture beyond the scope of nursing, including Misako Aoki and Kosuke Oozora. We aim to make these three days a time to discuss the future of nursing more freely, more enjoyably, and with more pride.
To Members of the Press
Nurse Matsuri 2026 will be accepting media coverage on the day of the event. We have prepared content that can be covered from various angles, such as nursing work styles, nursing DX, community healthcare, nursing careers, well-being of medical professionals, and a fashion show featuring nurses as the main characters.
