The music documentary "Immediate Family," which depicts the musicians who secretly supported the West Coast sound, is now playing. This film is a music documentary that three-dimensionally portrays four session musicians—Danny Kortchmer (guitar), Waddy Wachtel (guitar), Leland Sklar (bass), and Russ Kunkel (drums)—who supported the recordings and tours of artists like James Taylor, Carole King, Linda Ronstadt, and Jackson Brown, who are also known for the West Coast sound, through the testimonies of various musicians and related individuals.

It was recently announced that a talk event with guitarist Yoshiyuki Sahashi and music critic Kenta Hagiwara will be held before the screening at TOHO Cinemas Chante on July 8 (Wed).

In addition, it has been decided that on July 13 (Mon), a special event will be held at AEON Cinema Chigasaki in Shonan, which has a strong affinity with the West Coast sound, featuring radio DJ and producer George Kackle and music critic/DJ Junichi Miyaji. Kackle also excited the audience at a talk event held on June 26 (Fri) last month by sharing behind-the-scenes stories from when he met the band members. He also passionately discusses "Immediate Family" on his YouTube channel, "George Kackle's Lazy Days."

Furthermore, a clip has been released showing the episode that led Carole King, who is now a star singer, to transition from being a session musician playing piano to a singer on the front stage. This is a valuable piece of footage for audiences who are not familiar with her early days.
